Flat-leaf parsley

Flat-leaf parsley is not that easy to find in our supermarkets, because in Belgium and the Netherlands we are used to the curly-leaf variety. Around the Mediterranean Sea nevertheless - and especially in Italy and Spain - flat-leaf parsley is the norm. So you could also call flat-leaf parsley Italian parsley or even Spanish parsley. Compared to curly-leaf parsley, the flat variety has a spicier flavor.
