Chives are part of the garlic family, but are also a distant cousin of onions. Therefore, you will undoubtedly taste that delicious mild onion flavor. The culinary and gastronomic possibilities of chives are almost endless. You can use it in salads, herb butter, sauces and dressings.

One important side note: The flavor of chives becomes less intense when boiled, fried or deep-fried.
