Arugula

Arugula. Rocket. Roquette. Rucola. All different names for the same vegetable. It wasn't until the 1980s that arugula made its first appearance in our supermarkets. Before that, the finely-toothed vegetable was cultivated and consumed around the Mediterranean Sea. In Italy, for example. It is a typical Tuscan vegetable. The taste is walnut-like and bitter, which is ideal in combination with Parmesan cheese, tomatoes, other salads and vegetables. Arugula is also rich in vitamin C.
